The Mystic Springs Golf Club is located near Haitang, the eastern city district of the southern Chinese harbour city of Sanya, on the island of Hainan. It lies embedded on a 150-hectare area between tropical vegetation, fruit, and flower gardens in a valley surrounded by mountains. Reachable from Haitang’s center in about 20 minutes via the G223, the trip from the center of Sanya via the G98 to the Mystic Springs Golf Club takes about an hour. It was founded in 2011 and is home to the two 18-hole links courses Mystic Course and Springs Course with par 72. The American golf course architecture duo Robin Nelson and Neil Haworth provided the design. The Springs Course measures 7,442 yards and stretches across a wavy area with many elevated tees and greens. Deep bunkers, doglegs, and water hazards also belong to the course’s obstacles.
